Yesterday a few of us were talking and Gus (pronounced like goose) said that in Bali Hinduism one is thought to rack of a bill from the karma one has generated in this life. Then when one returns one can pay the bill. When one dies without any such debt, one is not reborn. He said that stories like this help us to think about profound matters.
