Katrinka and I just went to see the Ogoh Ogoh from nearby banjar (villages) gathered at the big field near Mertasari Beach. Great. Several thousand people all well behaved as usual. And for the first time we saw girls helping to carry the Ogoh Ogoh on the platforms - shoulders and arms, no wheels. Tomorrow at 6am Nyepi begins - 24 hours of no lights, cooking, going out, no internet, A day without Facebook and email and Internet and Instagram. Nothing open except hospital emergency rooms.
