Walking back from a swimming break at the beach, cutting through a field behind some shops, for the first fifty feet there's discarded bottles, plastic trash, other crap amidst the sand and plants. A paper bag lying on the ground next to the sandy footpath had written on it: When Nature meets Technology. Hmm. Was it placed there by an irritated foreigner? Through providence?
